Welcome to Area: Moonlight. The rules below exist to keep the community safe, welcoming, and fair for everyone. Taking part in the server means you accept and agree to follow them.
01 / Community Conduct
1.1 Harassment and Bullying
Targeted harassment, intimidation, stalking, or bullying of any member is not tolerated. This applies equally to public channels and to unsolicited direct messages.
1.2 Hate Speech and Discrimination
We enforce a zero tolerance policy on hate speech. Slurs, derogatory remarks, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or disability will result in immediate removal.
1.3 Drama and Toxicity
Healthy debate and disagreement are welcome. Do not let them turn into personal attacks, flame wars, or toxic drama that disrupts the peace of the community.
1.4 Impersonation
Do not pose as other members, staff, public figures, or official entities by using similar usernames, avatars, or statuses.
02 / Content Guidelines
2.1 NSFW and Explicit Material
Area: Moonlight is a general audience community. Content that is not safe for work, pornography, sexually suggestive media, and excessive gore are not permitted anywhere in the community.
2.2 Illegal Content
Do not post, share, or discuss illegal activity. This includes, but is not limited to, malware, pirated or cracked software, illegal drugs, and dangerous exploits.
2.3 Profile Standards
Your username, status, biography, and avatar must follow these content guidelines. Offensive or rule breaking profiles will be required to change.
03 / Chat Integrity and Promotion
3.1 Spamming
Do not disrupt the flow of chat. This includes flooding channels with rapid messages, large walls of text, repetitive emojis, image spam, and excessive use of caps lock.
3.2 Unwarranted Pings
Do not ping everyone, here, or individual staff and members without a legitimate and urgent reason.
3.3 Self Promotion and Advertising
Do not post invite links, other servers, personal websites, or promotional material in general channels. Keep all promotion to the designated channels, and never advertise through direct messages.
04 / Moderation and Authority
4.1 Staff Compliance
The moderation team is here to protect the community. If a staff member asks you to drop a topic, stop a behavior, or move to another channel, comply right away.
4.2 Self Moderation
Do not try to enforce the rules yourself. If you see a violation, report it to staff through the proper channels rather than stepping in and escalating the situation.
4.3 Dispute Resolution
If you disagree with a moderator decision or wish to appeal a strike, do not argue in public channels. Send all appeals to staff privately through direct messages or a ticket.
05 / Privacy and Security
5.1 Doxxing and Personal Data
Sharing anyone else's real life personal information, including real names, addresses, phone numbers, private social media, or real life photos, without their explicit consent is strictly forbidden.
5.2 Private Communications
Do not share screenshots or text from private messages, private channels, or ticket logs without the consent of everyone involved.
// Notice // Enforcement
Violations of sections 1.2, 2.2, and 5.1 bypass the warning tier and result in an immediate and permanent ban. All other infractions are handled through a standard progression of a warning, then a mute, then a ban.
Staff may update these terms as the community grows. Continued participation after a change means you accept the updated terms.
